I and BODS, my roommate here at UI, had a conversation today. We talked about the guys of our generation, you know, many people are over 27 and are not only not ready to marry but also not really mature and responsible like that.
You know, contrast to our parents who had parenting mindset and gave birth to their first child in their 20s, and some already have over 4 children before getting to 30+, the guys in this our generation, 1990s and above, are not that ready nor prepared to marry not to talk of having children.
I personally have a lot of friends, 28, 29, 30s, etc., and most of these guys are just having a normal guy life. Playing sportybet, video games, arguing about the best player between Dembele and Mbappe, having babes, drinking, the rugged ones, smoking, and the ones in uni want to finish school first.
Honestly, think of our parents, most of these guys have their children early, and that's not the most interesting thing, they have a solid sense of responsibility. They take care and provide for their wife and children and even support relatives. And don't let us forget that these guys don't have millions when they start a family, but something has changed.
Is it the economy? Is it that we lack a sense of responsibility? Is it peer pressure, or what could it be? Or maybe me and Bods observed wrongly?
